BELLINGHAM, WA, November 19, 2010 (Press-News.org) Avoid the crowds, get good deals and do an amazing good deed this season - all from the comfort of your home computer. Birch Equipment Rental and Sales is giving customers an easy way to donate to Toys for Tots and is offering special incentive programs for helping families in the Whatcom, Skagit and Island County communities.
Customers will have two chances to earn a $10 Birch Equipment Gift Card for their generosity. From November 22 - 29, shoppers who donate at least $50 in toys purchased online at http://www.birchequipment.com will receive a $10 Birch Gift Card. Then from December 6 - 13, customers that donate $50 in toys purchased at Birch Equipment stores or on the company's website will also earn a $10 Birch Gift Card.
"The online-only promotion is convenient for customers and our team members," said Bellingham Store Manager Jordan Mellich. "We're giving our crews some much deserved time off around the Thanksgiving Holiday, so even though our stores will be closed 11/25 & 11/26, our customers can still take care of business."
Birch is also offering an incentive to area companies for supporting Toys for Tots. Birch will make a match in toys depending on how much a business spends and donates in toys from the equipment company's locations. To find out more about the Birch Toy Match Program, contact marketing@birchequipment.com.
Birch carries a large selection of toys including items from Melissa and Doug, Ugly Dolls, K'NEX and Erector. The company recently added new products including everything from Stomp Rockets, the latest Mighty World Collection and Hex Bug Micro Robotic Creatures to mood rings and Stretchy Shapes bracelets. The company also carries products from toymaker, Green Toys, which uses recycled plastic milk jugs and recyclable packaging.
"We started adding construction-themed toys to our stores a number of years ago and had so much fun, that we've brought in more and different toys, puzzles, art supplies and educational items ever since," said Information Director Cara Buckingham. "Sure, we like to work hard. But we're basically kids at heart, and we want our customers to have fun when they come in. It's definitely worth the trip to one of our locations." Birch's Washington stores are located in Bellingham at 1619 Kentucky Street, in Anacortes at 8876 S March Pt. Rd, and in Mt. Vernon at 2609 Old Hwy 99 South, and are open Monday - Friday 7am - 5:30pm, and Saturdays from 8am - 12pm.

From now through December 16, area residents are encouraged to bring new, unwrapped toys for children ages 2 - 12 to any Birch location or purchase toys directly from Birch Equipment.
