MinXray Installs More Portable X-Ray/Digital CR Systems in Nigeria

MinXray Inc. is pleased to announce that it recently installed seven more portable x-ray/digital CR systems throughout Nigeria thereby increasing its presence in the healthcare arena in Africa.

MinXray Inc., a leading supplier in the portable x-ray equipment marketplace, is pleased to announce that it recently installed seven more portable x-ray/digital CR systems throughout Nigeria thereby increasing its presence in the healthcare arena in Africa.

The purchased systems included MinXray's HF120/60HPPWV PowerPlus(TM), one of the most powerful portable x-ray units available today and Carestream POC 140 CR computed radiography systems. The systems were installed in multiple locations around the country in some cases where there was no existing x-ray imaging capability.

System purchases were funded provided by the US Government as part of the President' s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). The implementing partner in Nigeria for PEPFAR was Harvard School of Public Health supported APIN - Aids Prevention In Nigeria program. The systems will be used for required general radiography imaging including chest imaging for TB assessment.

The project included onsite installation and comprehensive training at each site in Nigeria by MinXray personnel, Joel Koplos, VP Marketing and Sales and Michael Cairnie, RT ( r )( ct )ARDM, Applications Specialist.
