BOURNEMOUTH, ENGLAND, November 30, 2010 (Press-News.org) Only Men Aloud are set to provide a musical Christmas treat for people staying in Bournemouth hotels next month.
The Welsh male voice choir will bring their dulcet tones to the Solent Hall at the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) on Sunday December 19th, performing a selection of festive favourites alongside other material.
Formed in 2000, the group shot to fame after winning the BBC's Last Choir Standing competition in 2008.
Since impressing judges such as star tenor Russell Watson and choral conductor Suzi Digby, Only Men Aloud have released two successful albums and enjoyed sold-out tours around the UK.
Their second long-player, Band of Brothers, was named album of the year at the Classical Brit Awards in May 2010.
Even audience members who are not familiar with choral singing are still likely to enjoy Only Men Aloud, as the BIC website has pointed out.
It noted that the group are "unafraid to tackle music not normally associated with male voice choirs", as their repertoire ranges from "the 17th century to the present day".
Tickets for the Bournemouth performance, which will begin at 19:00 GMT, are priced at GBP20, GBP26 and GBP29.50.
For more information on this event, visit the Bournemouth International Centre website or contact the venue on 0844 576 3000.
