A pantomime version of Sleeping Beauty is being performed in Liverpool and will be fun for all the family, according to one source.

LIVERPOOL, ENGLAND, December 04, 2010 (Press-News.org) Panto lovers can see a classic example of this type of theatre during their stay at Liverpool hotels this winter, as Sleeping Beauty is being performed at the city's Everyman venue.

The production is set to be staged on various dates until January 22nd 2011, with actors Francis Tucker, Sarah Vezmar, David McGranaghan and Adam Keast among the stars relishing in their fun and silly roles in this re-imagining of the classic tale.

It promises to be an enjoyable experience for anyone heading to the Everyman for the show, with all sorts of songs used to get the crowd in a festive mood.

Angela Johnson revealed in Click Liverpool that tracks by the Beatles, Journey, Eliza Doolittle and many more appear in the production.

"Writers Sarah Nixon and Mark Chatterton and musical director Tayo Akinbode have worked their magic once again to bring a unique rock'n'roll panto for all the family at the Everyman Theatre," claimed the author.

She also noted that many of the cast are now seasoned veterans in the panto sphere.

Admission costs between GBP11 and GBP22, but there are several group offers available that could save people money.

Showtimes vary, but matinee performances will be either at 13:30 or 14:00 GMT and evening stagings mostly kick off at 19:30.
