The Medical Center of Aurora Named 'Best Place to Work'

AURORA, CO, December 04, 2010 (Press-News.org) HealthONE's The Medical Center of Aurora/Centennial Medical Plaza (TMCA) was named one of the Denver Business Journal's "Best Places to Work" for 2010. TMCA received the third highest score in the Mega Company category.

Working with Quantum Workplace of Omaha, Neb., The Denver Business Journal compiled the results of employee surveys to determine the winners. After entering, employees of each company were given an opportunity to complete an employee survey. Winners were selected based on employee measurement of 40 attributes known to drive employee engagement.

Questions were broken down into 10 categories: team effectiveness, retention risk, alignment with goals, trust with co-workers, individual contribution, manager effectiveness, trust in senior leaders, feeling valued, work engagement and people practices. "Best Places to Work" were separated in four categories based on size of the company as measured by its number of employees — mega (751 or more), large (251-750), medium (51-250) and small (10-50). A minimum of 10 employees was required to participate.
