BOCA RATON, FL, August 29, 2010 (Press-News.org) Today's sales managers and trainers are pressed for time, and are looking for innovative, easy ways to make their sales meetings engaging and effective. Two of the pioneers in exactly that field are featured in the July/August issue of the Insurance & Financial Meetings Management article, "Learning in the Round ... And Other Strategies For Effective Sales Training Meetings."
At the forefront of their field, sales training experts Nancy Bleeke and Alice Kemper, co-creators of Sharpenz...Half Hour of Power, provide several tips for planning effective sales meetings in the article.
Bleeke and Kemper teamed up to create Sharpenz - ready-to-go sales training kits that engage, energize and equip sellers to sell more, immediately, in less than 30 minutes - after recognizing a need for quick, effective, innovative sales training.
In "Learning in the Round ... And Other Strategies For Effective Sales Training Meetings," Kemper says, "instead of a lecture format, you want to engage salespeople in the topics discussed and the individual experiences. We believe that round tables help you best achieve this goal."
Bleeke adds, "Sales training sessions must always involve current, relevant information. Salespeople are so busy that if the information doesn't matter right now, they simply are not going to pay attention or do anything about it."
In the article, Kemper and Bleeke also reveal:
• Why providing meeting attendees with items to keep their hands busy actually helps improve their concentration.
• The best choice for table shape - and why it can dramatically increase sellers' involvement during sales meetings.
• The most crucial type of information a sales trainer or manager should provide during a meeting to motivate sellers and get them to sell more, now.
• What sales training meetings are really all about - and how to accomplish it.
• One activity a sales manager or trainer must make time for during sales meetings (and it may have nothing to do with sales!).
Kemper and Bleeke designed Sharpenz sales training boosters to help sales managers and trainers plan and prepare for effective, engaging sales meetings that equip their sellers to sell more, today.
