Peacocks front page splash completes great week of media coverage for the brand

UK fashion retailer's Kate Middleton dress is front page news

2010-12-05
GLASGOW, SCOTLAND, December 05, 2010 (Press-News.org) Another great week in the media draws to a close with a front page news story for Peacocks 'Kate' dress in the top selling broadsheet The Daily Telegraph. This new item also made waves at The Sun and in a host of online coverage with fashion journalists posting to social media network Twitter to say how much they love it. Fashion coverage for Peacocks continues strongly, with hits in Take A Break, Shout, Girl Talk and Love It.

It's not every girl who gets to marry a prince, but looking like a princess just got easier with the release of Peacocks GBP16 "Kate" dress, inspired by Kate Middleton's engagement dress albeit at a much more affordable price. The buzz around this dress is so strong that it has broken free of the fashion pages and made it onto the front page of The Telegraph newspaper. The UK's best selling newspaper The Sun also carried the story of the Kate dress, with a host of online media also following the Kate buzz, including some of the big names in web fashion reporting - Retail Week, Drapers, Newspointer and Girlie Gossip all giving space to the news of the dress.

Peacocks jewellery and accessories continue to sparkle in the magazine pages this week, with Love It showing some love to the gold heart earrings from the range, and Take A Break featuring the silver sequin bag from the accessories range in its sparkle feature.

Further hits in the magazines right now include Peacocks' Balmain inspired dress in Full House as a must-buy, and Shout magazine featuring a selection of Peacocks accessories and the military velvet jacket in its pages.
