SAN DIEGO, CA, December 09, 2010 (Press-News.org) Internet savvy musician Ian C. Bouras, is launching The ICB Music Group to help independent artists build a worldwide presence exposing their music to millions of new listeners.
For the past few years, Ian worked for Redwood Entertainment in New York City, heading up their internet marketing division. While working for Redwood, Ian worked with many independent musicians and independent labels, helping them to build an online presence by building profiles on many social networking sites, helping expose their music to millions of new listeners.
Ian has experience with all the current marketing websites, such as, Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, Reverbnation and also builds profiles for artists on over 50 social networking websites to help build credibility for the artist when someone searches for them. As an example of how working the internet pays off Ian explains how he got an artist a write up in a major publication because they searched for the artist on the internet to see if he was "on the level", and a lot of pages came up, so the artist had instant credibility.
Before learning the art of using the internet to help artists build sustainable careers, Ian's experience in the music business was as a touring and recording musician, audio engineer, and music teacher. He's spent most of his life in the music business and has gained a unique insight into the independent music world and understands what artists need these days online to build a sustainable career, using everything from social networking to podcasting.
The ICB Music Group offers many services including social networking, press submissions for reviews, submissions to podcasts, and managerial tasks.
