MORAN, WY, December 09, 2010 (Press-News.org) Togwotee Mountain Lodge, a premier snowmobiling destination in the mountains of Wyoming's Bridger-Teton National Forest, announces winter season upgrades, new packages, and 54 inches of accumulated snow since Oct. 1 with much more on the way. The ocean-atmosphere phenomenon of La Niña is causing a predicted heavy snowpack for Western Wyoming, which means ideal snowmobile conditions this winter.
The season kicks off with a property facelift renovated by the lodge's owner, ARAMARK Parks and Destinations, a leading concessionaire of national and state parks. Redecorated cabins open Dec. 1 and now feature Serta's Dream series bedding, modern HDTV flat screens, new coffee makers and alarm clocks, revitalized interiors and new rustic lodge decor. The refurbished lodge opens Dec. 6 with the renamed Grizzly Grill and a new menu. New additions to the snowmobile fleet include 2011 models of the Polaris 600 RMK and 800 RMK, Arctic Cat M6 and M8. Also available are 2009 and 2010 models of the Yamaha Trail Venture Lite and Phazer MTX 550.
Snowmobile rentals begin in December, and Togwotee Mountain Lodge gives live updates on conditions through its webcam. The property's "No Snow, No Go" guarantee also ensures that riders will be able to ride the most famous areas surrounding Togwotee. If not, they can get a refund or reschedule up until seven days prior to arrival.
"The La Niña forecast is calling for one of the most snow packed winters we've seen in many years," said Jeff Golightly, ARAMARK general manager for Togwotee Mountain Lodge. "In addition to the property and equipment upgrades and special savings, we're ready to host snowmobilers for the best mountain and trail riding in the West, and this is going to be one of the best winters to experience it!"
The La Niña Special entitles guests to a 15 percent discount on lodging and meal packages, including the all-inclusive Winter Package, which includes breakfast and dinner, a social hour, premium guide service* and shuttle transportation when booked for three nights or more. Cabins open prior to the lodge and restaurant on Dec. 1 and close on April 11. The Winter Package and meal packages are available to guests staying the lodge or cabins from Dec. 6 to March 27.
For the first month of the season, from Dec. 1 through Dec. 27, Togwotee is also making it a December to Remember with rates as low as $89 on lodge rooms and cabins for $159 or $179, based on type. The December to Remember promotion must be booked by Dec. 26; blackout dates and other restrictions may apply and all discounts are subject to promotional availability.
Guests can book these specials online with promo codes LANINA, WINTERPKG and DECEMBER2R. For more information or to book a promotion or package, visit http://www.togwoteelodge.com or call (866) 292-6720.
*Disclaimer: Snowmobile tours must be booked separately from guide services, and guide services must be booked 30 days prior to arrival. Bookings within 30 days are subject to availability.
