LONDON, ENGLAND, December 12, 2010

Founding members of the AV Global Alliance, AVM and AVI-SPL, today announced they will be expanding their relationship to include joint delivery of video managed services. The AV Global Alliance has historically been focused on designing and installing world class audio and video integration projects and currently has more than 26 leading AV integrators from around the world as member companies. The increase in demand for managed services to support Telepresence and video conferencing for large multi-national customers is the leading driver in expanding the relationship to include video managed services as an AV Global Alliance offering.

AVM and AVI-SPL intend to leverage their combined capabilities and infrastructure in the U.S. and Europe to deliver seamless managed video services to joint customers. By combining capabilities in their respective offices, the companies will leverage service centers in New Jersey, California, Pennsylvania and London, as well as video bridging infrastructure deployed at more than eight points of presence around the globe. The combined services will also enable both companies to expand the range of languages supported for multi-national customers.

"Video conferencing has become mission critical for many of our clients," said Mike Brandofino, executive vice president of video and unified communication, AVI-SPL. "They are demanding a 24/7, always-on, highly reliable service that allows them to focus on their business and not on the technology. Our partnership with AVM demonstrates our commitment to our ever-improving videoconferencing capability that meets their needs," noted Brandofino.

"We are seeing more opportunities with large deployments of video spread across multiple countries," said Sandy MacPherson, Chairman, AVM. "Our customers want the benefit of getting services from the best providers in each region, while working with one vendor to make it happen. We believe this expansion of our AV Global Alliance represents a unique capability customers have been waiting for."

AVM is the UK's leading provider of video & audio communications.
