Pacer Distribution Services Leases 200,892 Square Foot Distribution Center Within Watson Industrial Center

The five-year lease is valued at $6.2 million and consolidates Pacer's operations into one centralized distribution center.

CARSON, CA, December 14, 2010 (Press-News.org) Watson Land Company, one of Southern California's largest industrial real estate developers, has leased a 200,892 square foot industrial property within Watson Industrial Center to Pacer Distribution Services, a leading freight transportation and third party logistics provider. The five-year lease is valued at $6.2 million and consolidates Pacer's operations into one centralized distribution center.

"Port traffic has steadily increased since April 2010," said Lance Ryan, vice president of marketing and leasing with Watson Land Company. "This building will provide Pacer with the flexibility to scale up to meet continued demand."

The property is located on 11 acres at 800 East 230th St. in Carson, Calif. within Watson Industrial Center, a master planned business center spanning 6.7 million square feet of industrial space. Watson Industrial Center is located in the heart of the South Bay market in close proximity to major Los Angeles freeways, the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Long Beach Airport (LGB).

The property features 30 dock high positions, a 29-foot ceiling clearance and two truck yards (featuring a 185-foot turning radius and a 131-foot turning radius). The building features a newly renovated facade as a result of Watson's extensive renovation program within Watson Industrial Center.
