GLENBROOK, AUSTRALIA, December 15, 2010 (Press-News.org) A new service launched at myrecruiting.com.au will change the way businesses recruit staff. The choice between using a recruitment agency or the traditional 'do it yourself' method has expanded to a third option designed to save businesses time and money.
With myrecruiting, businesses can cut recruitment administration time by 80%, for less than half the cost of recruitment agency commission. All applicants are funneled through an online application process that automatically screens them for fit to the unique criteria of the role and the organisation.
"In the current market, there's a shortage of real talent but it's easier than ever for jobseekers to apply for jobs. The myrecruiting approach ensures you need only read applications from the candidates most likely to perform well in the role," says Susan Rochester, Managing Director of Balance at Work, the company behind myrecruiting.
Employers specify their exact requirements which are then built into a unique 'Job Success Formula', based on 20 years of workplace performance research by organisational psychologist, Dr Dan Harrison. The result is an online questionnaire all candidates must complete to be considered for the role. A link to the questionnaire is then published in all job advertisements.
When applicants click on the link, they are presented with questions about their skills, qualifications and experience and asked to upload their CV and cover letter. If they meet minimum requirements for the job, applicants are asked to proceed to part two where values, work preferences and motivators are assessed for role and cultural fit. The whole process takes 5 - 30 minutes.
"One unintended consequence we've observed is applicants who aren't really serious about a job will self-select out of the process when they encounter the questionnaire, giving further cost saving for the prospective employer," says Rochester. "This is another advantage myrecruiting offers time-poor managers."
From the employer's perspective, once the criteria are agreed it's 'set and forget' until they're ready to review the top applicants. Then myrecruiting will provide a ranked shortlist, with resumes. Technology has revolutionised other business tasks and the time has come to use it for a more sophisticated way to recruit staff.
Balance at Work, the company behind myrecruiting provides customised personality assessment, psychometric testing, staff coaching, staff training and more. For further information, VISIT us at myrecruiting.com.au. CONTACT us on 1300 785 150 or EMAIL us at susanr@balanceatwork.com.au.

Should drivers that take cold or cough syrup worry about the affects of the alcohol that these medicines contain?

High Failure Rate Leads to DePuy Hip Implant Recall

The Times report notes that these implants, designed to last up to 15 years, have been failing at an alarming rate. In some cases, the devices need to be replaced after only a couple of years.
While the wear and tear associated with the metal can lead to problems, specifically ...
