LateRooms.com - Enjoy Twelfth Night in Bournemouth

Shakespeare's Twelfth Night will arrive on stage at the Pavilion Theatre in Bournemouth on January 20th.

2010-12-15
BOURNEMOUTH, ENGLAND, December 15, 2010 (Press-News.org) A new version of William Shakespeare's much-loved comedy Twelfth Night awaits people visiting Bournemouth hotels in mid-January.

The Practical Productions show, overseen by director Harry Denford, follows the company's highly successful interpretation of A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Pavilion Theatre earlier this year.

A large cast of actors, dancers and comedians will be on hand to bring the classic tale of romance, unrequited love and mistaken identity to life.

Believed to have been written in 1601 or 1602, Twelfth Night is one of the most popular Shakespearean comedies and many of its lines are among the Bard's most memorable.

With comic characters such as Sir Toby Belch, Sir Andrew Aguecheek and Feste, the court jester, the play is sure to amuse theatre-goers when it arrives in Bournemouth next month.

The central plot is based on a case of mistaken identity after Viola and her twin brother Sebastian are separated in a shipwreck on the shores of Illyria, the ancient kingdom that forms the setting of the play.

Twelfth Night will be performed at the south coast venue from 19:30 GMT on Thursday January 20th, with tickets priced at GBP16.

For more information on this event, visit the Bournemouth International Centre website or contact the venue on 0844 576 3000.
