Metamorphosis: VeroniKaH / a solo exhibition

2010-12-15
NEW YORK, NY, December 15, 2010 (Press-News.org) Born in France and currently working in Montreal, VeroniKaH composes visual effects never seen before as she masterfully combines acrylics, colored inks and mixed media in unique ways. Color and texture explode on the canvas, while compositions bring rhythm and balance to the overall effect. What makes this work so captivating is the way VeroniKaH merges the realms of the representational and the abstract, creating images shimmering with life. Against backgrounds that are purely abstract, one can often glimpse shadows of forms, recognizable but at the same time otherworldly, seemingly out of reach. What results are stunning and forceful images that speak to our innermost depths, conveying a message of energy and of hope.

Inspired by a personal quest for healing and grace, VeroniKaH manipulates colors, textures and forms in order to bridge the barriers that often separate us as humans. This vision of life where all are connected sustains and drives her art, because for VeroniKaH, "at the end of the day, we are all the same."
