Hotels-Paris.co.uk - Be Amazed by Saltimbanco in Paris

Paris will welcome the talented Cirque du Soleil company for its stunning Saltimbanco show in 2011.

2010-12-15
PARIS, FRANCE, December 15, 2010 (Press-News.org) Prepare to see some astonishing tricks and beautiful performance art at the Cirque du Soleil's Saltimbanco show, which is due to arrive in Paris in the new year.

The occasion is taking place at the city's Palais Omnisports Paris Bercy venue, with tourists with Paris hotel bookings having several chances to see this world-class act between January 13th and 16th 2011.

Cirque du Soleil described the performance as one of its signature shows and revealed that the name comes from the Italian for "to jump on a bench".

The organisers explained that the act is varied, with some parts reaching a whirlwind pace, while others take a more contemplative and poetic speed.

"Decidedly baroque in its visual vocabulary, the show's eclectic cast of characters draws spectators into a fanciful, dreamlike world, an imaginary city where diversity is a cause for hope," they remarked.

Among the characters that attendees from nearby accommodation such as the Concortel Hotel Paris can expect to meet during the occasion are the Ringmaster, the Masked Worms, the Dreamer and Eddie.

Tickets for the event are available from EUR36.70 (GBP30.85) up to EUR78.50, with showtimes varying depending on the day, but most dates featuring an evening performance at 20:00 local time and matinee stagings also available.

For more information on this event, visit the Bercy website or contact the venue on +33 1 40 02 60 60.
