Important New Video: Detox Programs as a Crucial Gateway to Drug and Alcohol Rehab

New video presented by The Recovery Place drug rehab and alcohol treatment center emphasizes the importance of clients attending a drug detox program prior to full integration into an active recovery treatment plan.

2010-12-16
FT. LAUDERDALE, FL, December 16, 2010 (Press-News.org) New video presented by The Recovery Place drug rehab and alcohol treatment center emphasizes the importance of clients attending a drug detox program prior to full integration into an active recovery treatment plan.

Jeffry, who is now in active recovery, supports this important premise. "I was using up to 50 bags of heroin a day, so just three or four days of detox just wasn't going to cut it." By entering a drug detox rehab first, Jeffry's withdrawal symptoms were medically managed. His anxiety was controlled and he was able to sleep better. Effective detox made him able to transition into intensive alcohol and drug therapy and life management activities.

Drug and alcohol detox is an important first step once the decision to get help is made. Many addicts and alcoholics fear rehab because of the anxiety, cravings and other withdrawal symptoms that they know they will experience when then enter rehab and are cut off from drugs and alcohol. An effective drug and alcohol detox problem can make a huge difference in whether someone is able to be successful in their other recovery efforts.

The Recovery Place supports detox first, by medical management of the physical symptoms. Detox programs help clients become more mentally and physically stable so that they can begin the hard work of recovery.

Some people require a drug detox program that also assists them with their alcohol abuse.

About The Recovery Place:
The Recovery Place drug detox program is a critical initial component of the client-centered treatment that they provide. Full medical and psychiatric support is made available to clients to help them through this difficult phase of rehabilitation.

Once detox is complete, clients begin active participation in a drug and alcohol recovery treatment plan that is individualized to their needs. Family support is provided throughout the rehabilitation process.

Pro Energy Consultants' Home Energy Audit Helps to Prevent Icicles and Ice Damming on Homes

2010-12-16
Snow and freezing temperatures can contribute to a sequence of problems for a home, including ice damming: when a big block of ice forms and causes water to back up from an overhang or gutter. Ice dams typically form after the first layer of snow covers the roof. They're caused by air leaks in a home's "building envelope." As heat escapes into the attic, the warm underside of the roof melts the snow, which flows down the overhang and into the gutters where it freezes. Water leaks inside a home can be a worrisome problem for any homeowner, but ice damming or icicles ...
