Hotels-Paris.co.uk - Explore Work of Gustav Mahler in Paris

The Musee d'Orsay in Paris will be staging a series of concerts in honour of composer Gustav Mahler.

2010-12-17
PARIS, FRANCE, December 17, 2010 (Press-News.org) Hotel Paris guests have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of Gustav Mahler with a trio of concerts that showcase how his compositions were influenced by light music.

The first of the three shows will take place on Friday January 14th 2011 and will see the Radio France Choir take to the stage with Nathalie Steinburg and Mathieu Pordoy on piano and Matthias Brauer conducting.

It will feature several tunes by famous composers such as Johannes Brahms, Johann Strauss and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, as well as a selection of Viennese songs - all of which brings together the music that Mahler adored, according to the organisers.

"Waltzes and other dances or folk songs appear in most compositions by the Viennese maestro and are crucial to an understanding of his work," they added.

The other two shows follow a similar vein and take place on Thursday March 24th and Thursday March 31st. They are being led by The Philharmonics with Bernarda Fink, and Angelika Kirchschlager and Helmut Deutsch respectively.

All the performances kick off at 20:00 local time in the Auditorium, with attendees from nearby accommodation such as the Hotel Faubourg Paris able to buy tickets starting from EUR12 (GBP10.15).

An exhibition devoted to Mahler will be staged at the arts space in 2011 to celebrate the centenary year of his death.

For more information on this event, visit the Musee d'Orsay website or contact the venue on +33 1 4049 4814.

Stages of DUI/DWI in New Jersey

2010-12-17
Traffic Stop & Arrest A DUI/DWI begins with a traffic stop. For an officer to have the right to pull someone over, he must have a reasonable 'articulable' suspicion that a traffic violation has occurred. It can be any violation, and if an officer witnesses a violation that is not related to a DUI/DWI, and properly pulls the driver over, that stop will still be proper if the driver is later arrested ...
