WASHINGTON, DC, December 17, 2010 (Press-News.org) On Dec. 30, 2010 CommCore Consulting Group CEO, Andrew Gilman, will ring the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) Closing Bell along with FAAN's (the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network) CEO Julia Bradsher, FAAN Ambassador Who Cares Chef Ming Tsai, and members of the food allergy community. Gilman currently serves as Board Chair for FAAN. In addition to this position, Andy has been a longtime member and volunteer of FAAN, helping with Communications Training, Media Training for FAAN Walk Chairs and staff, as well as crisis planning.
FAAN is especially important to Andy since his son Sam has severe food allergies. "Being part of FAAN is as rewarding as any assignment in my career," Gilman said. "Until there's a cure, it's vital that FAAN helps educate the public about food allergies and how to prevent life-threatening allergic reactions to food."
"Andy's leadership, long-term dedication to FAAN, willingness to share his professional expertise, and personal connection to food allergies, helps FAAN continue to be the leading non-profit dedicated to food allergies," said Julia Bradsher, FAAN's CEO. "It's an honor for FAAN to ring the NYSE Closing Bell, and we are so glad that Andy will be there to ring the bell with us as we spread awareness about potentially life-threatening food allergies."
During the week of 27- 31, several NYSE Opening and Closing Bells will recognize charitable and non-profit organizations' initiatives during this holiday season. FAAN was selected as one of the charities to participate.
