KAHULUI, HI, December 17, 2010 (Press-News.org) Hawaii Guide Me, the free iPhone app that is your tour guide for the Hawaiian Islands, has now been downloaded by 20,000 people and counting. By far, it is the most popular travel app for Hawaii, having 10 times as many downloads as the next most popular Hawaii travel apps. An Android version is also due out soon.
Hawaii Guide Me is the (not so) secret weapon for anyone planning to vacation Hawaii.
It is a full spectrum guide for Hawaii, giving users information on restaurants, hotels, activities, beaches, sights, and almost any kind of service one could ever need on the islands. The app uses GPS technology to locate the nearest desired service, and provides detailed directions using a satellite map. Users can sort businesses by price, ratings, and more, and share their experiences with friends and other Hawaii Guide Me users via reviews and Facebook. It even provides weather and surf reports, and coupons.
"Reports from reliable sources such as ComScore show that smartphone users are one of the most engaged audiences of any medium," says Chuck Bergson, CEO of Pacific Radio Group. "They tend to be smart, savvy and want to utilize cutting edge technology to simplify their lives. Hawaii Guide Me was purpose-built for them."
An Android version of Hawaii Guide Me is currently in its final testing phase. You can stay up to date with updates on Hawaii Guide Me by following us on Twitter (twitter.com/hawaiiguideme/) and our Facebook page (search for "Hawaii Guide Me"). Or, visit us at http://www.hawaiiguideme.com.

Anyone who grew up with their parents listening to a vinyl album of the Beatles or Hendrix can probably only faintly recall what awe transpires when a song from a vinyl album is played. However, the guys over at SoundStage Direct beg to disagree. A healthy number of Vinyl-appreciating audiophiles still exist. Surprised?
While majority of today's music enthusiasts would never bother to get hold of an album in vinyl ...
