New Electronic Band File from Metabo Offers 900 Watts of Power

WEST CHESTER, PA, December 19, 2010 (Press-News.org) Metabo Corporation, a leading international manufacturer of professional grade portable electric power tools and abrasives for industrial, construction and welding applications, now offers the BFE 9-90 band file. This new electronic band file is ideal for metal removal and deburring in hard to reach places.

The BFE9-90 offers 900 watts of power and features Metabo's robust Marathon motor with slim motor housing for comfort handling. It has a variable belt speed of 750-1770 ft/minute

The new file, with a die cast aluminum gear housing, has a toolless belt exchange for safe and efficient belt changes, a thumbwheel for easy speed selection and a grinding arm that swivels 270° for clean finishing even in the most angular spaces.

The BFE 9-90 also features a winding protection grid, auto-stop carbon brushes and Vario-Constamatic electronic speed control. It uses standard belts in widths of 1/4", 1/2" and 3/4" by 18" long. The sanding belt arm length is 3-1/2".

Standard features of the BFE 9-90 include one grinding arm for 1/4" or 1/2" belts, 10- 1/2" x 18" 120 grit zirconia alumina sanding belts, an allen wrench and a sheet steel carrying case.
