BRIGHTON, MI, December 22, 2010 (Press-News.org) D & R Energy Services announces the Village of Milford, Michigan has their first Solar Photovoltaic system installed on a home on the north side of town.

A crew from D & R Energy Services - based in Milford and Brighton - was at the DeMars' home installing 18 solar panels to harness solar energy and convert it to electricity. Robert Craig, Senior Engineer of D & R Energy Services, said DeMars' home is the first in the Village of Milford to have a system installed - but said there is a growing number of people who are recognizing the financial benefits that solar energy provides.

With the rebates and incentives available, installing a system is a healthy long-term investment. "Right now, the costs of the systems are at an all time low. And electricity costs are only going to go up," Craig said.

D & R Energy Services does both residential and commercial work. A site survey to determine the feasibility of a solar energy system, as well as a cost estimate to install a system is provided free of charge.
