Monitis Debuts Android Monitoring App

Monitis, the award-winning provider of the world's first all-in-one monitoring cloudware, today announced a new mobile downloadable application, Monitis Android App, designed to work on Google Android smart phones.

2010-12-24
SAN JOSE, CA, December 24, 2010 (Press-News.org) "This app is our latest tool in our mission to help busy sysadmins monitor just about any part of their IT infrastructure - anytime and from anywhere," said Monitis Founder and CEO, Hovhannes Avoyan. "We're dedicated to making IT pros' jobs easier in every way, and our new Android monitoring application offers yet a greater level of convenience."

For many, the Android Operating System is becoming the smart phone technology of choice. According to researchers The Nielsen Company, in the six months leading up to August 2010, Android was the top platform in the U.S., reflecting 32% of new purchases, followed by the iPhone and the BlackBerry platform, both about 25% of new purchases.

Monitis's new application gives IT managers around the world who are using an Android device instant access to important data as well as up-to-the-minute reporting from Monitis's market-leading suite of monitoring tools.

With Monitis's new, downloadable Android application, IT managers and system administrators can access their Monitis data, take a snapshot of all recent checks, and see the details of each of the various monitoring tools within the Monitis suite. Most importantly, the new application includes access to both internal and external monitoring tools, giving IT managers visibility over their page-load times from multiple geographically dispersed locations, as well as over their internal server metrics such as CPU, memory, and more.

Monitis also provides iPhone, Blackberry and Symbian device users web mobile access to IT monitoring data and reporting (m.monitis.com).

At no cost to customers, the new Monitis Android application can be downloaded from the Google Android Market or from Monitis portal (portal.monitits.com).
