Texting Awareness Foundation remind you campaign, don't text and drive

Texting Awareness Foundation wants to provide a continuous reminder to all drivers "what are you looking at ... the road?"

2010-12-24
BAY SHORE, NY, December 24, 2010 (Press-News.org) We have all "done it", it seems. It takes but a mere moment. And it changes lives forever. Text messaging from our phones while we are driving is a cultural epidemic. The countless scores of tragedies caused by our decision to do so staggers the national imagination. Laws passed in our legislatures have done precious little to prevent this burgeoning behavioral monster from destroying our families. And the time has indeed come for good people to join other good people in in sincere effort to effect change in our society. And to save lives.

THE TEXTING AWARENESS FOUNDATION, a non-profit, grass roots organization, has been established to get the message out. Americans need this constant reminder that the decisions made from behind the wheel effect us all. And at every moment of the day. Our REMIND YOU CAMPAIGN is designed to be the clear, bold step which while sounding so simple to understand, is really a fresh approach to capturing that elusive threat of texting and forcing it to cease its hold upon us.

Come join us. Remind yourself and the ones you love to think before texting while driving. We will help you to remember that "it CAN wait" and that no message, delivered at any time, is ever worth a life. EVER. We shall be conducting on-site employee seminars and partnering with driver education classes, installing billboards and signs along our roads, placing posters in our schools, and involving all media outlets to assist us in promoting this message of safety.
And our thumb rings are available as special reminder to take part in the fight against the menace that threatens us all.

We encourage you to visit our website at http://www.textingawareness.org. And please know that I am interested in your thoughts always for we are all in this together.
My safe wishes this holiday season,
What are you looking at......... the road?!
