Center for Autism and Related Disorders Raises Over $50,000 in Toys for Local Needy Children

The Center for Autism and Related Disorders, Inc.'s (CARD)'s announces its 2010 partnership with the Marines Toys for Tots Foundation, a huge success, collecting over $50,000 dollars worth of toys.

TARZANA, CA, December 25, 2010 (Press-News.org) The Center for Autism and Related Disorders, Inc.'s (CARD)'s announces its 2010 partnership with the Marines Toys for Tots Foundation, a huge success. CARD collected a total of 500 toys, valued over $50-thousand dollars, from its staff members and the local communities around the country where CARD offices are located.

"We are very fortunate for having the Center for Autism and Related Disorders, Inc. join us in this great cause. All the toys that we collected from them will truly bring a smile on a child's face this holiday season," says Corporal David Carranza, U.S. Marines Corps.

"Our holiday campaign to work with Toys for Tots was a great success," says Human Resources Director Nancy Plotkin. "Through the CARD Community Connection, our corporate citizenship program, CARD's 18 U.S. office participated in this worthy cause to help the children of the communities we serve throughout the year. While the numbers are still coming in, we are confident we will reach our goal of $100,000."

All the toys collected from the CARD offices were taken to the closest Marine Base warehouse. Children who are eligible to receive a toy will get one gift from his or her wish list.
