ROME, ITALY, September 02, 2010 (Press-News.org) There may be a treat in store for people heading to 5 star hotels in Rome in the near future, as the beautiful Italian city is hosting the Music Festival of the Nations.
This stunning occasion sees a variety of music performed throughout the summer at the Teatro Marcello, with at least one act taking to the stage every night until October 3rd.
Holidaymakers keen to relax and enjoy their break in the city need not worry about the tunes being too energetic or riotous, since the range of music played stays firmly in the classical genre.
According to travel listings website What's on When, the shows on offer include Baroque, Romantic, Classic and avant-garde performances.
"The Music Festival of the Nations offers a varied repertoire of performances, from solo recitals to chamber music and polyphonic choirs," the online resource explained.
Organisers of the event claim that some of the best graduates from top musical academies in Italy have played at the venue in the past and its success means that the 2011 edition is already being planned.
Performances typically last from 20:30 to 22:00 local time, with different acts showing their talents throughout the course of the festival.
The event is under the patronage of various embassies around the world, including Britain.
For more information on this event visit the Music Festival of the Nations website or contact the venue on +39 06 85 30 17 55.
