MISSION HILLS, CA, December 31, 2010 (Press-News.org) Jay Nolan Community Services, the largest provider of individualized services for people with autism and other developmental disabilities in California, is launching its 2011 Webinar Series with a nationally recognized leader in the field of autism and neurodiversity. Ari Ne'eman is the founding president of the Autistic Self-Advocacy Network (ASAN), a national advocacy organization run by and for autistic adults and youths. He was recently appointed by President Obama as the first autistic person to serve on the National Council on Disability.
The Webinar, titled "Why Neurodiversity and Inclusion?," will be presented by Jay Nolan Community Services on Friday, January 7, 2011, across the country at: 10am to 12pm (PST), 11am to 1pm (MST), 12pm to 2pm (CST) and 1pm to 3pm (EST). The cost is 75 dollars per person and early registration is recommended.
Only 22 years old, Ne'eman has drawn national attention - and some controversy - to his cause of expanding society's acceptance of neurologically diverse individuals, especially those with autism. In the Webinar, Ne'eman will discuss the growing "neurological diversity" movement, its perspectives and relationship with the broader disability rights movement, and its implications on inclusive educational practices. JNCS' Webinars are specifically designed to enhance the knowledge base and skill sets of direct support professionals, service providers, special educators, parents, advocates and self-advocates.
"We're very excited to be kicking off our Webinar Series for 2011 with such a dynamic and important presenter," says Camille Skipper Watkins, director of Jay Nolan Community Services' Training and Resource Center. "Ari's message about 'Neurodiversity and Inclusion' is a "must-see" experience for anyone who is concerned about the quality of life and educational opportunities for adults and children with Autism Spectrum Disorder."

Have you ever been one of those people who go on a diet, lose a few pounds, get to a place where you plateau, and then in discouragement give up? You are not alone. That is a common complaint among dieters in the United States. Why is the happening? We are told by the media, medical field, and fitness industry that we just aren't disciplined enough.
