Rock'n Music Idol 2011 Offers Cash Prize!

MIDDLETOWN, NJ, January 01, 2011

Rock'n Music Idol, a state-wide talent search entering its third season, is offering a $500 cash prize to this year's overall winner. Rock'n Music Idol is open to New Jersey musicians ages 7-17 in the categories of guitar, bass, drums, keyboard/piano, vocals, and vocals/instrument. The competition follows an audition process during which contestants are judged by professional musicians based on style, technique, and originality. Rock'n Music Idol culminates with a live finale which features performances by the finalists and the selection of the winners.

Winners are selected in each of the six instrument categories. All winners receive professional recording studio time to write and record original songs as well as a professional photo shoot with famed photographer Mark Weiss (Bon Jovi, Christina Aguilera, Ozzy Osbourne). One overall winner will be selected this year and receive a $500 cash prize.

Past winners of Rock'n Music Idol have performed at some of New Jersey's most prestigious venues, such as The Count Basie Theater and The Stone Pony, been featured on national television (ABC) and on the radio (Q 104.3).
