About Miss North Texas:

Rachael Lynee Burns is a 27-year-old professional model, actress, and dancer who loves to be involved with her community. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of North Texas where she received her bachelor's degree in dance with a minor in social sciences. She is very excited about working with Build A Bed not only to launch her career but give back to the community as well. Her platform is Child Abuse Prevention and Recovery, and she works with the National Children's Alliance and the Children's Advocacy Centers of Texas to bring awareness to the community. Her hope is to educate others about identifying abuse, preventing it, and getting victims into a program to help them recover from it. About the Alliance:

Build A Bed wants to help launch Rachael Lynee to be Miss Texas and ultimately Miss International. They are working to create a signature "Miss North Texas Bed" and each sale of this bed will provide a percentage towards her charitable cause of Child Abuse Prevention and Recovery. Build a Bed and Miss North Texas will be working together to grow the Build A Bed company for the purposes of giving back to the community. Once Build A Bed takes off, the goal is to have the ability to donate beds to shelters and even teach them how to make their own. Not only do Build A Bed and Miss North Texas want to help others in need, but they want to enable them to improve their own lives as well. They want to educate consumers about health and wellness by showing them how important sleep really is.
