Leading Commercial Vehicle Vendor Anchor Vans Reports Huge Surge in Sales of 4x4 Vehicles as Cold Weather is Predicted to Continue

Anchor Vans has reported a massive rise in sales of 4x4 vans as demand for vehicles that can cope with snowy conditions is increased by extreme cold weather.

2011-01-06
BERKSHIRE, ENGLAND, January 06, 2011 (Press-News.org) Anchor Vans - one of the leading vendors of used vans in the UK reports a massive increase in sales of 4x4s as the cold weather is predicted to continue into the New Year. Whilst Anchor Vans sells all makes and models of new and used 4x4 vans, the Nissan Navara 4x4 is proving to be a bestseller. For more information call 0118 9710 230 or go to http://www.anchor4x4.co.uk.

"The weather we've seen over the past fortnight is a bit of a mixed blessing," said Simon Joyce, Sales Director for Anchor Vans. "Whilst it's hugely inconvenient for the majority of our customers who need to drive a lot for their businesses, it has also caused a huge surge of sales of our 4x4 vehicles. Indeed, the customers who need to keep on the move whatever the weather are the ones who are sending our 4x4 van sales through the roof, as these vehicles can handle snow and icy conditions better than most other vehicles on the road."

When asked why the Nissan Navara 4x4s are so popular, Simon replied; "It's a combination of several factors, one of the principle ones being what we call "Nissan's bullet proof reliability" and in extremely cold weather that's what our customers really need. The top spec 4x4s are really luxury vehicles now, as the market has realised that they're a necessity, and that owners want to double up their commercial vehicles with family use at the weekends," Simon explained. "So they are roomy, comfortable, and have all the mod cons including the marvellous heated seats feature which makes all the difference on a bitterly cold morning."

"In addition," Simon continued, "The Nissan 4x4 engines adhere to the Euro 4 engine emission standard, meaning that they fall into a lower tax bracket and have excellent fuel economy without any compromise of performance. And I think this is a trend that's going to last, as there's talk of a potential mini ice age meaning these cold and snowy winters will happen every year," Simon concluded. "When people need to invest in a commercial vehicle, they're going to pick ones that are reliable all year round, in all weathers and can cope with family life too."
