Laboratory Testing Inc. Owners Receive Family Business Learning Community Award

HATFIELD, PA, January 06, 2011

Mike and Joan McVaugh, co-owners of Laboratory Testing Inc. and siblings, were named the 2010 "Champion Family Business Learning Community Builders" by the Delaware Valley Family Business Center. The award was presented to the co-owners of the materials testing, nondestructive testing and calibration laboratory at the Business Center's November meeting. As the 2nd recipients of this annual award, the McVaughs were recognized for having encouraged other family businesses to join them in preparing their next generation of family members for success. The McVaugh Family and Laboratory Testing Inc. have been active members of the Delaware Valley Family Business Center for the last 16 years and have presented their learning experiences and success stories at membership meetings on several occasions.

Laboratory Testing Inc. (LTI) of Hatfield, PA has been in business since 1984. The company specializes in materials testing, nondestructive testing, specimen machining, failure analysis and calibration services. The laboratory is accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 by PRI/Nadcap and A2LA, which complies with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485. Mechanical, chemical, metallurgical and nondestructive testing services are performed on metals, alloys and other materials. Chemical analysis is also offered for a variety of other materials including powdered metals, ores, ferroalloys, composites, ceramics, aerospace materials and nuclear materials. Test specimens are machined on-site and material investigations are conducted to determine the root cause of material failures.
