ARLINGTON, TX, September 02, 2010 (Press-News.org) E-Guide Services, Inc. (EGS) recently installed its fully customizable television channel guide, E-GuideTV, in sixty-three (63) hotel properties in Southern California (between July 26 and August 6, 2010). This accomplishment is marked as the single largest and most successful installation initiative within a two-week period in EGS' history.
E-GuideTV is a real-time television channel guide created, promoted and distributed by EGS for the hospitality industry. E-GuideTV is customized to each property's TV channel lineup and streamed into each guest room television, showcasing hourly programming information, local time, date, targeted advertisements and other entertaining content designed to engage viewers. Currently provided at no charge to properties through paid advertisements, E-GuideTV is viewed by the hospitality industry as a cost-effective way to create a more at-home experience for their guests and increase their guest satisfaction ratings.
The installation has added sixty-two (62) corporately-owned Motel 6 properties and one (1) Country Inn & Suites by Carlson property to the E-GuideTV family.
The mass installation brings the cutting-edge television channel guide to more than 7,400 additional hotel rooms in the Los Angeles, San Diego, Palm Springs and Santa Barbara areas and has expanded E-GuideTV's distribution to over 98,000 rooms nationwide, increasing gross impressions to over 9.1 million per month.
"We are excited about this tremendous achievement and believe our installation technician's expertise, professionalism, and ability to handle mass installations such as this proves E-GuideTV to be a step ahead as the number one choice for program guides in the hospitality industry," said Shaun Stark, vice president and general manager of EGS.
About EGS
EGS is the provider of E-GuideTV, a high-performance and fully customized television channel guide. EGS satisfies a need for information-rich television programming content not present in the hospitality industry, as well as other markets, by providing properties with E-GuideTV as a state-of-the-art and fully-automated television channel guide that also allows national, regional and local advertisers to reach a captive and engaged audience through a revolutionary advertising platform.
E-GuideTV was a vision of Christopher S. Stark, Sr., President and C.E.O. of EGS. Through his company, FYI Television, Inc. the leading provider of onscreen, online and print television programming and scheduling content information, Stark quickly recognized a great need in the hospitality industry and other markets for timely, accurate and reliable television schedule and listing information. In July 2007, EGS was formed to provide that solution, and Stark embraced a two-fold initiative: to serve these industries with accurate TV listings and to provide advertisers with a way to reach these highly sought-after and demographically segmented audiences.
