SANIBEL, FL, January 06, 2011 (Press-News.org) Food service companies, Franklin Foodservice Solutions, announces the release of a Cost-to-Serve report that contains the published, three year results of food service manufacturer benchmarking studies. The report will assist food service manufacturers in accurately and efficiently evaluating their costs to see exactly where funds are being allocated. With this breakdown, companies will be able to make more cost effective decisions regarding sales, marketing, and supply chains.
"The report includes aggregated information from more than 20 detailed studies," said Dave Dewalt of Franklin Foodservice Solutions. "We conducted studies with food manufacturers, including dry, refrigerated, and frozen products, then broke down costs by 7 major cost drivers and 6 weight brackets. Our goal is to provide this information as a resource for food service companies, allowing them to run a more efficient and cost effective business."
The Cost-to-Serve study is aimed at helping manufacturers understand their total cost-to-serve, from order to cash. The studies begin with a receipt of an order, and are analyzed through all movements, storage, and handling, continuing through the collection of cash. The Executive Summary and report is currently available and free to download on the Franklin Food Service website http://www.Franklin-Foodservice.com/library.
