CASOLE D'ELSA, ITALY, September 02, 2010 (Press-News.org) The Verrocchio Art Centre has seen a fresh following, increased awareness and demand due to its communication with new friends on Facebook and followers on Twitter. The centre based in Casole dâEUR Elsa, Tuscany launched their social media in June 2010 and has seen a growth in interest ever since.
The Centro as it is known locally has been microblogging and tweeting on Twitter and social networking with fans on Facebook with commentary from the resident director Nigel Konstam, photos of the Centro and Casole dâEUR Elsa, and discussing local and global art.

The 2010 schedule courses were run by guest tutors that included Clive Pates, Vince Tutton, David Wentworth and Bella Green. Past courses have been led by Ben Brotherton, Oliver Bevan, David Carr, Jai Chaudhuri, Gus Cummings, RA, Graham Giles, Julie Giles, David Gluck, Bella Green, Robin Holtom, Wynn Jones, Nigel Konstam, Leonard Macombe RA, Frances Mann, Sargy Mann, Clive Pates, Christopher Pincent, Terry Raybould, Caroline Seaward, Anne Shingleton, Vince Tutton, and David Wentworth. The Verrocchio Art Centre was founded in 1982 by Nigel Konstam. It is based in Casole d'Elsa, Tuscany, Italy and offers painting holidays, sculpture courses, and self catering accommodation. The courses run from May till October and are open to people of all ages, experience and ability. Watercolour, oil, Plein Air and landscape painting courses are run by guest tutors. Their energy, passion and talent create an excellent learning atmosphere for students to increase their confidence and make progress. The courses are designed to develop the powers of observation, stimulate the imagination and enrich the students' appreciation of art.
About Nigel Konstam:
Nigel Konstam is the resident director and is a sculptor whose work is firmly based in the European tradition. He studied sculpture, drawing and painting at Camberwell School of Art from 1956 to 1958 and has worked as a sculptor and teacher ever since. NigelâEUR s art historical research into painters' use of mirrors is known around the globe. These studies have led him to a fresh way of understanding visual imagination and the means of extending its range and power. His work has been shown in London, Madrid, Barcelona, Salamanca, Pisa and Florence. Nigel has done portraits of King Juan-Carlos and Queen Sofia in addition to many distinguished musicians.
