HAMPTON, VA, January 07, 2011 (Press-News.org) Pressure Systems, manufacturer of precision level pressure instrumentation for environmental water usage and water resource applications, has doubled the thickness of the Teflon coating on the sensing area of its KPSI Series 705 level transducer to further reduce material penetrating the diaphragm. The non-fouling submersible hydrostatic level transducer is ideal for use in highly viscous applications, including lift stations, slurry and pump control.
The transducer's new elastomeric diaphragm features a surface area of 0.90" to prevent clogging. The Series 705 is available in custom level ranges from 6 ft. H2O to 115 ft. H2O with analog outputs of 4 mA to 20 mA or 0 VDC to 5 VDC. It is compensated over the temperature range of 0°C to 50°C (23°F to 122°F) with a static accuracy of ±0.25% FSO.
The Series 705 standard housing is welded 316 SS, with titanium available as an option. This rugged construction protects the transducer's advanced electronics that provide superior measurement accuracy. The transducer is shipped with a maintenance-free SuperDry vent filter that prevents moisture from entering the vent tube for at least one year.
The Series 705 is available with custom lengths of cable, which utilizes Kevlar strength tensioning members to prevent errors due to elongation and includes a unique water block feature that seals if the cable is accidentally cut.
For advanced reliability in the field, Pressure Systems offers a lightning protection system with a lifetime warranty against over voltage.
The Series 705 can be installed in Class I, Division 1, Groups A, B, C and D: Class II, Division 1, Groups E, F, and G; and Class III, Division 1 hazardous locations. KPSI transducers are IS approved by UL, CUL as well as FM and has IP 68 and NEMA 6P housing protection ratings. In addition, the Series 705 is CE compliant to EN 61000-6-4:2001 and EN 61000-6-2:2001. All KPSI transducer calibrations are traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
Pricing for a Series 705 starts at $575. Delivery is two working days ARO.
