FARMINGTON HILLS, MI, January 07, 2011 (Press-News.org) Marx Layne & Company - a full-service marketing, public relations and digital media agency - will host a "Taste of Twitter," 5:30 -7:00 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 26. The unhurried session is designed for small- to medium-sized businesses with little or no prior Twitter experience. "Twitter places nearly 200 million users within a few simple keystrokes of business owners," said Jennifer L. Cherry, vice president, Marx Layne & Company. "It enables businesses to hear what their consumers are saying about them - and what's being said about their competitors. Part of Twitter's tremendous success is this focus group effect, accessible to business owners 24/7. When you can learn about your consumer, you can better market yourself to them."
Additionally, the agency's digital architects and executives will explore how to harness the power of social media tools to work more efficiently, updating accounts like Twitter and Facebook simultaneously and even creating an online Twitter business card.
There is no charge to attend this event. Seating is limited. Reservations are required and can be made by calling Matt Schuler or Patrick Sullivan at (248)-855-6777. Registration and networking begin at 5 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
