The movie stars Natalie Portman, Zooey Deschanel and James Franco. McBride and Franco play two princes on a mission to save their land and princess. Fabius, played by Franco, is the role model older brother. McBride is his younger, underachieving sibling. Princess Belladona, Deschanel, gets kidnapped by an evil wizard and the brothers have to fight to save her. Isabel, played by Portman, joins the warrior brothers in an attempt to save the fair maiden from an uncertain death. Isabel however has a hidden agenda that is not necessarily focused on saving Belladona from harm.
The film has a traditional medieval film story plot, including handsome knights, damsels in distress, dragon slaying and magic wizards.
