Vancouver based Oculus Hospitality Training and Business Solutions Inc. includes carbon offset credits for hospitality training clients in North America.

Vancouver, Canada based Oculus Hospitality Training & Business Solutions Inc. offers environmentally green training solutions to clients throughout Western Canada and North America, through a carbon offset program supporting environmental efforts.

2010-09-02
VANCOUVER, BC, CANADA, September 02, 2010 (Press-News.org) Oculus Hospitality Training & Business Solutions Inc. has incorporated environmentally green solutions into all of their training products and brands. Commencing September 1st, 2010, the company will require clients who have decided to print training materials, or who require extensive travel, to participate in a carbon offset program pre-selected by the Oculus Hospitality Training & Business Solutions Inc. team in Vancouver. The program will be extended to all Oculus brands including Oculus Business Solutions and Checkmark Training.

"We have spent time thinking about how our business affects the world around us, and we want to ensure that our contributions are positive ones!" said Kevin James Saunders, Managing Director of The Oculus Group of Companies. "Training and Customer Perception Management companies spend time focusing on trying to satisfy their customers' wants and needs. We all share in the uphill climb we face wanting to improve our environment, and we feel the responsibility should not be shouldered entirely by our hospitality clients. We want to help, and lead by example". Saunders added.

In this past year, Oculus Hospitality Training & Business Solutions Inc. has been focused on reducing their environmental impact. Employees and Contractors work from their home offices, internal meetings and trainings are conducted via web meetings, and conference calls and travel are kept to a necessary minimum. The carbon offset program will be included in all current and future Oculus clients' training or consulting programs. The cost will be included in monthly dues and contracted fees. "We want our clients to feel that they are giving back without having to reach deeper into their pockets. We all live on planet earth and we have to work together to protect it" said Saunders. "We hope that our dedication to being a responsible corporation will help our new potential customers make a more responsible decision when choosing a mystery shopping or training company."

The company will be purchasing their carbon credits from selected organizations who are Gold Standard certified, independently audited, and are EcoLogo certified.
