FREDERICK, MD, January 10, 2011 (Press-News.org) Dog allergies affect twenty percent of all dogs in the United States. These allergies can cause itchy skin and ears, foot chewing, stomach problems, hair loss, and other canine health problems.
The Allergy Dog Central website was started to help dog owners understand and share common dog allergy symptoms, causes and recommended treatments. The site discusses the most common dog allergy symptoms and how dog food allergies and environmental allergies to molds, pollens and dust can cause severe health problems in allergic dogs.
"As an owner of an allergic dog, I know how expensive and frustrating it can be to treat dog allergies," said, Kathy Hrach, Editor of Allergy Dog Central and owner of Elsie, a 4-year-old allergic Boxer dog. "Most owners don't even realize that their dog has allergies. Our goal is to create a greater awareness of dog allergies and educate owners on topics they should discuss with their veterinarians."
Allergy Dog Central also includes an Allergy Stories section which shares how other owners are dealing with their dog's allergies. In addition to educational articles about dog allergies, the site also includes links to dog allergy treatment products recommended by real dog owners. All allergy products and services come recommended from experienced allergic pet owners.
