New Documentary Film Seeking Personal Stories From People That Never Had the Opportunity to Say Their Last Words to a Loved One Before They Passed

One More Thing...Before You Go is a unique documentary video project that provides an opportunity for people to say the last words they were never able to say when they unexpectedly lost someone.

2011-01-11
PHOENIX, AZ, January 11, 2011 (Press-News.org) One More Thing...Before You Go, will open your eyes, ears, mind, and heart to the very personal journey that unlocks the ability to say the last words you were never able to say and maybe gain the closure you need to move forward in your own life, smile, be happy again, and leave a positive memory for you to carry with you. This project features spoken word, live music, dramatic expression, art and dance, all centering on our need for closure when losing someone or something close to us.

Starting January 10, 2011, the production team will be seeking participants with their stories to tell, collected through our website http://omtbeforeyougo.com in the form of letters, interviews, and video uploads. From this collected material and the assistance of creative arts therapists, four individuals will be selected to participate directly at various levels, and followed throughout a unique program that will combine their story with music, dance, dramatic expression, or art made powerful through your artistic, inspiring and at times humorous personal messages. Creative arts therapists will use these methods in conjunction with arts and performance professionals to show how the creative arts can be used as a tool to overcome grief and sorrow and move forward in life.

The goal is to educate, nurture and make possible the opportunity for a person to gain closure after losing someone or something close to him or her. Production will commence January 18th and conclude approximately 14 weeks later.

Michael R. Herst is a documentary filmmaker and a MA Graduate student at Arizona State University in Phoenix Arizona. He is currently developing and producing a video project entitled "One More Thing Before You Go." This project features your story, your words, your opportunity to say the last words you were never able to say before unexpectedly losing someone, put to creative arts to assist in the grieving process.
