KINGSTON, NY, January 12, 2011 (Press-News.org) The New York Solar Energy Industries Association (NYSEIA), the trade association representing the New York solar energy industry, has re-appointed Ron Kamen, a solar energy executive from the Hudson Valley, as president.
Kamen of Rhinebeck is a founding partner and chief development and public policy officer of EarthKind Solar, the leading solar thermal energy company based in Kingston. He has more than 20 years of experience in the energy industry in policy, sales and marketing, consulting and public education.
Also elected to one-year terms as officers for 2011 were:
--- Vice president - R. Sail Van Nostrand of Greenlawn, president of Energy by Choice, LTD, a solar contracting firm specializing in solar electric, solar hot water and geothermal heating systems.
--- Secretary - Victoria Hollick of Toronto, Canada, principal at Conserval Systems, Buffalo, the company that invented and commercialized solar air heating around the globe with its "SolarWall" technology. She has been extensively involved with solar thermal policy in different parts of the world.
--- Treasurer - Mike Bailis of Holbrook, founding partner of SUNation Solar Systems Inc. in Oakdale. Bailis, vice president of sales and marketing, has more than 30 years of experience in the solar and HVAC industries.
