Well Designed Journeys Launched to Serve Growing Baby Boomer Travel Market

Formed to meet the needs of the growing boomer travel market and created out of a passion for small group travel, Well Designed Journeys plans luxury vacations for the discerning traveler.

2010-09-03
BRENTWOOD, TN, September 03, 2010 (Press-News.org) To serve the growing trend in baby boomer travel toward small group luxury vacations to unique destinations, travel agents Dora Theiss and Vickie Morgan launch their new company, Well Designed Journeys.

After Theiss and Morgan met and traveled together, they realized there was an unmet need for customized small group travel packages with personalized service. "Road Scholar released a report that found baby boomers were seeking trips with small group sizes, plenty of learning opportunities, and free time balanced with activity, which was exactly what we were hearing," says Theiss. "We knew we could create a better way to provide the personalized luxury travel they want."

To that end, Theiss and Morgan pioneered a new concept in luxury travel: customized, worldwide small group travel for the 40 plus through baby boomer traveler looking for adventure and unusual experiences. Travelers have two choices: they can join a predesigned, theme-inspired journey with itineraries ranging from African safaris to Christmas markets in Europe, or they can form their own travel group, decide on their destination, and work with Well Designed Journeys to craft their own luxury vacation.

Travel groups range from 8 to 16 travelers, who venture into the culture and atmosphere of the destination. They enjoy local sights, eat authentic cuisine, and get to know the people of each country, as well as create lasting friendships with each other. Well Designed Journeys plans every detail and customizes each vacation with authentic cultural experiences and tours.

The recently launched website illustrates the passion with which Well Designed Journeys' founders craft the trips. Monthly group trip itineraries are available along with an extensive list of frequently asked questions about small group travel, including tips on packing and passports. Visitors can also download a report on the ten essential steps to a successful small group journey.

The recently launched blog chronicles journeys Theiss and Morgan accompany, and they update the blog regularly to educate, inform, and encourage travelers.

"Our mission is to provide personal service on exclusive luxury vacations, so our clients feel special and receive a great value for their investment," states Morgan. "We knew the best way to do that was to partner and create Well Designed Journeys."
