Annual Guide to Schools Launches 2011 Edition

Parents looking to choose private or charter schools will have the AGTS 2011 Edition to help them make an educated decision.

2011-01-15
CALGARY, AB, January 15, 2011 (Press-News.org) The Annual Guide to Schools (AGTS) Magazine, published by New Wave Media, launches the sixth edition of the magazine today. This edition of the magazine features a number of new concepts, with an aim at educating parents on the technological advancements of the 21st century and how today's educational system is incorporating these advancements into the curriculum.

"The purpose of the magazine is to help parents make the most informed decisions regarding their children's education," commented Ashley Feist, Editor of the AGTS, "With so many different opinions it can be difficult for parents to understand what is best for their children. For 2011, we decided that a workbook model/component to the magazine would further assist parents in providing educational information that can be used on a daily basis. We wanted our readers to engage even more with the publication and we are confident that we have achieved this with the new 2011 edition of the magazine"

The Annual Guide to Schools also includes editorial content on a large variety of private, charter, special needs, and faith-based schools in Calgary and surrounding communities. This guide aims to assist parents in selecting the school that best provides the educational components they want for their children.

"We provide information to parents about the new components of education, such as the Internet, and how they can utilize this to aid their children's learning" says Feist. "The magazine also includes check lists, guides, and a booklet that teaches parents how to prepare their children for the best educational experience."

About Annual Guide to Schools
The Annual Guide to Schools is a unique and objective guide to selecting a school within the Calgary area. Providing detailed descriptions of the various aspects of each school, we give our readers the ability to make the right choice to meet their child's educational needs. Each school profile is exhaustive, including everything from the availability of bussing to average test scores. There is carefully constructed data on each school which allows for the consideration of both educational and social needs of the students. Simply put, the guide acts as your A to Z guide for school information.
