Cadac Organice has signed a contract with Orkuveita Reykjavikur, a utility company from Iceland

Orkuveita Reykjavikur has bought Cadac Organice Explorer to replace their current technical EDMS solution with a Microsoft SharePoint based solution

2011-01-20
HEERLEN, THE NETHERLANDS, January 20, 2011 (Press-News.org) Cadac Organice, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and developer of Cadac Organice, a SharePoint based solution for Engineering Document Management and Document Control, announced today that she has signed a contract with Orkuveita Reykjavikur, a utility company from Iceland.

Icelandic utility company Orkuveita Reykjavikur has bought Cadac Organice Explorer to replace their current technical EDMS solution. Orkuveita Reykjavikur was seeking a solution that could support their business better both from a usability and technology perspective. One key wish was to have a seamless and deep integration with CAD tools, Office and Outlook environments and still be able to have all documentation available in SharePoint, which is the core platform for knowledge sharing at Orkuveita Reykjavikur.

Kristjan Thorvaldsson, Project manager at Orkuveita Reykjavikur: "Orkuveita Reykjavikur (OR) has been looking for a CAD integrated solution for SharePoint for a quite some time. With Cadac Organice Explorer, OR hopes that designers and project managers can easily share and store their CAD documents within SharePoint. Cadac Organice Explorer allows them to file these documents based on metadata and that they will be searchable according to this metadata. Also OR is aiming to replace her old CAD document record system with SharePoint and Cadac Organice Explorer. For OR the added value of Cadac Organice Explorer is to be able to also store e-mail and other Office documents in SharePoint in an easy manner based on metadata."
