BOCA RATON, FL, January 20, 2011 (Press-News.org) Plans underway for the American Cancer Society
With an enthusiastic committee revved up and planning the South Palm Beach Unit American Cancer Society's Amore Gala on Saturday, April 9, 2011, guests can look forward to exciting evening of entertainment, dancing, fine dining, and silent and live auctions. Starting at 6:30 p.m., the fundraiser will be held at the Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club, 2425 Maya Palm Drive West in Boca Raton, Florida.
"This will be one of the most exciting galas of the year in the southern part of the county," said Karen Lynne Asher, gala committee chair and owner of Karen Lynne Gallery in Boca Raton. Jamie Telchin, president of development for LXR Luxury Resorts, shares the reins this year as gala vice chair. "We encourage area residents and visitors alike to come out for a great time and a worthy cause."
Both pointed out that sponsors and other donors will have opportunity to support the important R.O.C.K. Programs (Reaching Out to Cancer Kids), R.O.C.K. Camp, Families R.O.C.K. Weekend, and R.O.C.K. College Scholarships. "In addition, donations will go to work locally and in cancer research centers across the country," Asher said.

Tickets to the gala are $250 per person or $3,000 for a table. Table sponsors will receive recognition as a Table Sponsor in the event program book, their company name on the table sign, and preferred seating for 10 at the gala, as well as admission for 2 to an exclusive VIP party at One Thousand Ocean on March 17.
