St. Patrick's Guild Helps Catholics Prepare For Lent Online

ST. PAUL, MN, January 20, 2011 (Press-News.org) St. Patrick's Guild is working to help Catholics prepare for Lent and Easter, by offering liturgical church supplies, Lenten books and prayer resources online at their website, http://www.stpatricksguild.com.

St. Patrick's Guild supplies ashes for Ash Wednesday, Palm Sunday Palms, alter banners, and other Lenten and Easter decorations for churches. They also offer religious devotional items for parishioners like rosaries and prayer and reflection books.

Lent, a period in the liturgical year in which Catholics prepare for the Passion and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, begins on Ash Wednesday, March 9, 2011, and continues through Holy Saturday, April 23, 2011. During this time Catholics are encouraged to pray and reflect on the teachings of Jesus Christ, as well as seek penitence.
