Public Relations Associate Joins the Eugene Office of Vox

Rob Holderness has joined Vox Public Relations Public Affairs, formerly The Ulum Group, in its Eugene office.

EUGENE, OR, January 21, 2011 (Press-News.org) Rob Holderness has joined Vox Public Relations Public Affairs, formerly The Ulum Group, in its Eugene office. In his new role, he will provide the firm's clients with community, media and government relations support, writing news announcements and copy for other marketing materials, pitching stories and tracking news coverage, producing analyses and reports, coordinating special events and more.

Holderness joined Vox in September 2010 after completing a master's degree in communication and political science from Oregon State University. While at Oregon State, Holderness served as a graduate teaching assistant in the speech communication department. He wrote his master's thesis on a single episode of the television show South Park.

Prior to graduate school, Holderness worked two years for the Statesman Journal in Salem, Ore., serving as the sports editor of the Statesman's two weekly newspapers, the Stayton (Ore.) Mail and the Appeal Tribune (Silverton, Ore.), in addition to performing general assignment duties. Holderness also holds a bachelor's degree in speech communication from Oregon State and an associate degree from Chemeketa Community College, where he was a member of the baseball team for two years.
