This session will highlight several alternative infrastructure financing tools, such as special districts, tax increment financing, synthetic TIFs, and other public-private partnerships, as applied in actual projects. These financing tools will be examined from both the public and private sector's interests and viewpoints. Federal programs, such as New Market Tax Credits, that can be used in conjunction with state and local tools will also be discussed.
