ATLANTA, GA, January 23, 2011 (Press-News.org) Esculent Affairs by Chef Kami & Co. in conjunction with The Real Private Chefs will be hosting the first annual Black & Red Cocktail Affair to benefit the American Heart Association's Go Red For Women Campaign.
The "Go Red for Women" campaign encourages awareness of women and heart disease, and is also a call to action to save more lives. This movement harnesses the energy, passion, & power woman have to band together & collectively wipe out heart disease!
The formal event will honor men, women, and groups that have shown diligence in the fight against heart disease in women; while raising funds for the AHA. The honorees for the evening will be The Queen of Hearts Foundation, Dr. Elizabeth Ofili, Dr. B. Waine Kong, Dr. Gina Lundberg, Dr. Sheila Woodhouse and Dr. Kim Champney.
The event will also serve as a fundraiser to benefit the American Heart Association's Go Red For Women Campaign. Invited Guests will be asked to donate $1000 or more in support of the AHA. There will also be other ways to donate.
On January 10-15, 2011 we held the "Design the Dress" Logo Contest where Graphic Designers and Visual Artist submitted a Red Dress logo that embodies the spirit of the Go Red For Women Campaign. The winning logo was designed by Marc Wojcik, will be the official logo of the 2011 Black & Red Cocktail Affair to benefit the American Heart Association's Go Red For Women Campaign; & be imprinted on the award given to honorees.
One hundred percent of all monies raised from attendees and auctions will benefit the AHA's Go Red For Women Campaign.
Held at Hidden Lakes Event Facility located in Riverdale, Ga., this event is by invitation only. The Red Carpet starts at 5 pm. After walking the Red Carpet, invited guest will have the opportunity to sample exquisite haute cuisine and signature cocktails created by Chef Kami Redd of Esculent Affairs and Chef D'Andre McCarter of The Real Private Chefs. Through out the night honorees and attendees will be entertained by Spoken Word Artist/MC (TBD), The Finnie Music Group, The Poetess Imperfection, & surprise guests.
On February 12, 2011--all Honorees, AHA Reps, Sponsors, and select donors will participate in a red t-shirt group/individual photo shoot with photographer BYO. Photos taken will be used for marketing purposes, and later donated to the AHA for further use.
