GRAND RAPIDS, MI, January 26, 2011 (Press-News.org) X-Rite, Incorporated (NASDAQ:XRIT) has nearly doubled the locations this spring where it will be offering its Fundamentals of Color and Appearance (FOCA) one-day seminar that instructs quality control and assurance professionals, lab technicians, parts suppliers, pre-media and digital pressroom personnel and manufacturing specifiers on how to evaluate and approve colors in their workflows.
Color experts at X-Rite Color Services will host the FOCA seminar series starting in March in Charlotte, N.C.; New York City; Las Vegas; San Francisco; Portland, Ore.; Baltimore; Cincinnati; Nashville, Tenn.; Houston; St. Louis; Denver; New Orleans and Vancouver, Canada. X-Rite is the world's leading designer and manufacturer of color measurement instrumentation and software, as well as a provider of related training and support services. The corporation also is the parent company of Pantone LLC, known worldwide for its standard language of accurate color communication in the graphic arts and other industries.

"We've added six stops in our seminar series compared with spring last year due to heightened demand from companies that want their teams to get a strong foundation in color and learn best practices of color measurement," said Murphy Keeley, vice president of X-Rite Color Services. "Our 2011 spring tour will include updated information on the latest developments in color measurement technology. The success of our series is based on providing convenient, top-notch training to our attendees in a cost-effective manner."
Taught by X-Rite color experts, this industry-leading seminar was created to provide practical information applicable to all industries dealing with color in easy-to-understand terms. X-Rite color experts first give attendees a solid foundation in the basics of color and appearance, and then provide instruction on how to measure, view and understand color data.
The $595 course requires no prior color training and will address color control for a variety of industries, including retail and apparel brands, business and consumer electronics, automotive, graphics arts, packaging and their related industries in plastics, coatings, and textile manufacturing. For a limited time, attendees are invited to save 10 percent by using the coupon code FOCA11 when registering.
In addition to the training, each attendee will receive an X-Rite Munsell Interactive Learning Kit that reinforces the lessons with worksheets, samples, and exercises, as well as X-Rite's exclusive Fundamentals of Color and Appearance book that acts as a reference on color in easy-to-read language. The seminar runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and includes continental breakfast and lunch.
Attendees should check if the X-Rite seminar can qualify as continuing education under certain accreditation programs.
Each location will have a drawing at the end of the day for one free seat of quality assurance software, a $3,200 retail value where the winner has the choice of X-Rite ColorMaster QAII, Color iQC Professional, or X-Color QC. All participants will also receive a $250 voucher towards the purchase of any X-Rite product, with a minimum order value of $2,500.
All attendees of the seminar tour are eligible to win an X-Rite CAPSURE handheld color-matching tool which will be given away to five lucky individuals at the completion of the tour.
