VANCOUVER, BC, January 26, 2011 (Press-News.org) ManiacTools announces the release of mp3Tag Pro 7.0, the powerful ID3 tag editor to manage and organize collections of audio files.

Audio files contain more than just encoded audio streams. Most audio formats offer special fields for descriptive information about title, artist, album etc. This information generally known as ID3 tags helps to identify the song (or other type of recording) when it is being played, to search for a certain song, to sort and organize the music collection by some criteria.

mp3Tag Pro works with such information of MP3, WMA, OGG Vorbis, FLAC, APE, AAC, M4A, and other popular audio formats. If ID3 tag fields are empty, the program will download them from Amazon or FreeDB, import them from a text file, or generate tags from parts of filenames and folder names. mp3Tag Pro can process thousands of files at once, including files in the nested folders (subfolders).

Some audio formats allow storing lyrics and album art (covers) inside the corresponding files. mp3Tag Pro can work with these fields. It is possible to edit every file separately, adding and adjusting lyrics and album art, but the program can also supply all selected files (no matter how many) with lyrics and album art automatically. mp3Tag Pro features a unique technology for loading clean lyrics for thousands of files in a single click.

Another convenient feature of the program is renaming music files. mp3Tag Pro will use information of any available ID3 tag field to create names for files and folders according to the pattern supplied by the user. Thus the complete collection can be sorted in a couple of clicks. New folders will be created and the corresponding files will be placed into them under the new names, as specified by the user. Fields can be combined in any succession to create filenames and folders, it is possible to create multiple levels of folders.

mp3Tag Pro is recommended for audio/music collections of any size. While it is possible to rename files and enter necessary tag information manually, there is a good chance to mistype something. mp3Tag Pro will save pretty much time by doing everything automatically and correctly.
